Kisspeptin-54 is an amidated peptide associated with the KISS1 peptide family. It shares the C-terminal receptor-active sequence found in other kisspeptin fragments. Studies have examined these peptides at KISS1R, previously known as GPR54.
Experimental receptor-binding and cell-signalling assays examine kisspeptin activity. KISS1R commonly couples to Gq/11 and phospholipase C, with downstream calcium mobilisation. Results depend on the receptor system, species and assay conditions; cell findings do not establish effects in people.
Check the precise sequence, C-terminal amidation, identity and purity of any research material. Similar receptor activity in one assay does not mean fragments behave identically in every model. This guide does not certify a batch, provide handling instructions, or recommend human or veterinary use.
